Day 28 and the Fitbit has not recorded one single damn step 😱 it was all for nuthin’ 🤨

So today was gonna be the day… getting back to steps and healthy eating. Photos from yesterday of beached whale proportions had spurred me into action! So Fitbit charged overnight! Or did it…. naw!!! off to Asda first thing this morning, semi awake at 7 up there for 8. Asda give priority to Key Workers between 8-9 so I had to join a short queue but wasn’t waiting long.

So this is no a braw pic but I was trying to take it sneaky like – we now queue to get in to supermarkets… 2m apart.

Managed to get everything we needed and was desperate for new underwear as my underwired sprang it’s wire 😱 so all sorted! Back home and put it all away and the roofers had arrived to start work on emergency leak work.

Turns out that the majority of the replacement is on our neighbours’ roof and they had no leak problems at all….. we get water in down the side of that old chimney. Pic credit to Graeme next door!!
Craig having a wee explore on their lunch break
They better not damage the new paint work and my new dark grey fascia!!!!
Back out in the Jeep working in the back end 😬
On side with the grate up which was a dog guard for the Jeep Renegade. Shelf added to improve storage and full first aid kit in place.
Calaidh is not impressed being forced to pose at the Jeep before her walk and warning you now there are hundreds of photos from our walk!!
Went towards Barmill today
Looking back down towards Gateside
The old limekilns
The gorse is looking beautiful now but Calaidh will not pose
Nope…. hiding…
Took a walk into a field that was sodden the last time I was in it. What a difference when it’s dry.
Liked this janky old tree for some reason
Why can’t we go in here mum?
Ok then if we have to go home….
Which way now mum?
The road back into Gateside
Chatted to the lady who lives out in the small holding on Reek St and asked if I could take a pic of her garden as it looked so nice in the sun
Calaidh got a weeeeee bit bored as we might of chatted for too long
I finally got back and Craig had emptied the old slate out the mini planter and moved loads of bits of wood etc that were lying about here. All we need is more soil and we can plant more onions!
We sat down the back of the garden out of the wind, check Calaidh eyeing up Craig’s beer 🤭😆
Very thirsty dogs…. thinks it’s time we brought out another water bowl as they go through it like wildfire in the sunshine! May have been dry for a wee bit this afternoon… bad dog mumma!

So while it all looks rosy in the garden, I’ve felt pretty rotten all day. Zonked out tired again but also with a drive that we must be outside as it’s sunny and there’s tanning to be had but also that we must be doing stuff while it’s dry… my heads’ been in a Tasmanian devil tailspin all day. I am so tired that I need to remember that it’s ok to rest. Craig asked earlier if I was hungry and needed to eat or if I just needed to go somewhere else 😆 he knows when to stay out the way!

Coronavirus news today is all about one million employees to get a furlough grant as 140,000 firms have applied to the government scheme. This means that the Government will pay 80% of their salary up to £2.5k per month while they can’t work. A much smaller headline says 449 people died in the last 24 hours.

When Craig waters the garden and Bhru knows she shouldn’t be up there! Calaidh on the other hand….
Watched by them all ❤️

Movie time!
